For drivers:
The My Motor Buddy team strives to make it ridiculously easy for you to shop around for a reputable mechanic, diagnose your car problems and earn motor-miles (redeemable at My Motor Buddy garages & select businesses.)

For mechanics:
With thousands of potential customers using our website weekly, My Motor Buddy provides you with access to the largest online network of potential customers in the UK. My Motor Buddy enables you to promote your services via our website mobile platforms for a small monthly subscription fee; which is less than you probably pay for the Yellow Pages ad that no one looks at anymore...

1. Use our car diagnosis Q&A to get an accurate report on what’s wrong with your car
2. Send your report to 5 local mechanics to a get a quote
3. Pick the mechanic you would like to go with (based on their quote/My Motor Buddy rating)
4. Earn Motor-Miles by signing up garages & friends, as well as following us on Facebook.
5. Use Motor-Miles to help pay towards your vehicle repair bills

Firstly, complete our car diagnosis Q&A to help identify your car problem.  Secondly, send your accurate report results to mechanics by clicking the symbols you are having problems with. Your job will then be sent out to the 5 closest garages to you, and you'll receive quotes from them straight into your message centre.

Registration is free on mymotorbuddy.com however when you make an online booking with a mechanic you must leave a £40/ 40MM deposit which will be deducted off your final bill when your repair is complete.

Our Garages & mechanics are encouraged to keep on top of their emails so you could start receiving quotes within minutes.

You can make an online booking via your selected mechanic's profile. Just click the booking icon; select date & time etc. then leave a small deposit of £40/40MM (deposit deducted from final bill amount.)

This is to ensure that your booking is confirmed and a mechanic will be available to you at the requested time & date. The deposit amount is deducted from your final bill.

Yes; all you have to do in order to change your booking is simply contact the mechanic and arrange another suitable date or time.

Unfortunately booking deposits are non-refundable. However if you speak to your garage they may change your booking to another date for you.

It's really easy; simply complete all of your personal details, car registration, a description of the problem(s) you are experiencing with your car; click send and your job will go live. 

PLEASE NOTE: We strongly recommend completing our car diagnosis Q&A before contacting a mechanic.  The results of the report can help the mechanic give a more accurate quote.

For many jobs, mechanics need to know what make/model your car is before quoting. This can be identified via the registration number so we need you to provide this in order to get an accurate quote for your vehicle

OR

• We ask you to tell us the make and model of your car; it's registration number and year. You can then choose what services you require by clicking on our service icons and leave a description of the work that needs to be completed.

We recommend that you describe the issue in as much detail as possible so that mechanics can provide you with an accurate and fair quote.

Yes you can.  If you have found a garage and would like them to quote on your job, simply;

1. Click on the contact mechanic button (which is under their company profile) and you can either send them a direct message or make an online booking. 
2. If you opt to contact a garage directly, you can still send a general quote request out to other mechanics in the area in order to compare quotes.

You can accept your preferred quote from within your My Motor Buddy message stream or your previous quotes page

After you've accepted a quote, you will be able to chat to your chosen mechanic via the messaging system.  You should then arrange the job directly with the mechanic or make an online booking. 

Once the job is completed please leave honest and fair feedback on the work completed, your feedback is really important to us.

You can rate your mechanic via the 'Rate my experience' area.

Yes, we welcome all feedback.  Contact us with your comment, question or feedback and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

My Motor Buddy Motor-Miles are our unique customer loyalty reward system.  Motor-Miles can be redeemed towards the cost of your vehicle repair bills.
You can earn Motor-Miles by;

1. Simply signing up on My Motor Buddy (50 free points worth £50)
2. Liking our page on Facebook (5 points)
3. By signing up a friend (10 points)
4. By signing up your local garages (50 points)

Use our 'refer a garage' page to send an invitation to the garage to sign up.  If they sign up within 12 months, you will receive 50 points.  You can also earn 50 points per friend you sign up also so get those emails sent out!
